Life Across The Bridge
random thoughts and pictures from a girl who just wants to have a place to document lifes big and little moments.

I should start off by saying, I think this is going to be my last post from Tumblr. I know, I know, I change and jump around all of the time. Now that I have my photography website, I feel there is too much to manage. I don’t have enough substance on both, so I’d rather combine the two. So I’ll be posting on www.linneaingridphotography.com from now on. I felt finishing out my monthly postings of Eva would be a good last post.

This is Eva’s 12 month post. However, she will be 14 months soon.

I have to say it: She continues to keep us on her toes. She is my climber. My mother-in-law told me today she climbed up the back of a high chair and into the seat. I’ll find her in random places that I had no idea she could even get to.

We were told at her 12 month check up that she is anemic. I know this is a fairly common thing in kids, but as a parent you never want to hear “if it doesn’t clear up we’ll have to do further testing.” But I am thankful she is healthy otherwise.

She LOVES to eat! People continually comment on how much she eats. I thought it would be my son that kept me running to Costco, nope it’s my girl. Already.

She continues to be clingy. Very clingy. Yet, I see so much independence in her as well. She definitely knows what she wants.

Shoes. She loves shoes.

She is a cuddler and I LOVE that. Every morning she gives me a hug and when she’s tired she just wants to lay her on your shoulder.

She loves dolls and stuffed animals. It’s funny how as a female you can already she her maternal instinct.

Soren is great with her for the most part. She’s tough and can handle the rough housing she gets from her big brother. Even with that, she usually wants to be where Soren is (when she’s not clinging to me.)

“The life we waste everyday because we want a better one or because we are never satisfied with it, is the life that many wish and yearn to have and would give everything to have it.”

I have a new small obsession: hair clips. Now that Eva has enough hair, I have had so much fun purchasing and picking out different clips for her to wear each day. She also likes them. She’ll find one and try to put it on herself. But now I’ve come across the dilemma of how to store these clips. I asked my crafty sister for some ideas. She sent me this one.

Because I love to get my hands on a good craft and am too impatient to actually go out and purchase the items needed, I try to find what I have around the house. This is what I came up with; temporarily I’m sure until I find the frame and ribbon I really want to use.

I used a fabric stretched canvas that I had made that was hanging in Eva’s room. I attached some ribbon using hot glue. I used hot glue because I knew I would eventually take the ribbon off. I would love to find an old antique frame and make it look more like the first photo.

A lot of the clips you see were given to me at a shower my dear friend threw for me when I was pregnant with Eva. She set up stations for people to make hair clips. Thank you ladies for the great clips you made.

Eva turned a year old last week and when I have enough brain power I will post more about what life is like with her these days.

My baby is almost a year old! What?! My heart overflows with love for this girl. I feel as though more of her personality has been revealed in the last week or two since she has recovered from her double ear infection. I think these pictures will do a better job of describing her better than my written paragraph.

a new found attachment to Lucy.

she still LOVES to eat! (even if she only has 2 teeth.)

is a climber! she’s not afraid of anything and she’s determined.

she is pretty much walking. we see her like this most of the time.

just so sweet. :)
